reassign 638091 ftp.debian.org retitle 638091 RM: gai -- dead upstream; blocks GNOME 3 transition thanks
Please remove gai from the archive: It hasn't seen any noticeable activity in the Debian archive since 2008-01-21, besides two NMUs, has two open RC bugs and looks generally unmaintained. The upstream homepage is still up, but the last release is from 2005. The popcon numbers are rather low. This particular bug has been open since 17 Aug, but got no reply from the Debian maintainer so far, so we don't expect any porting efforts for GNOME 3 any time soon and it's blocking the ongoing GNOME 3 transition now. The only reverse dependency of gai, is shermans-aquarium.
