Can't you just upload the version from experimental to unstable and update to the latest goobox when gtk 3.2 is available (which currently looks like it will be *after* the GNOME 3 transition.) The version from experimental seems to have built fine on all archs and would just need a simple re-upload to unstable with minimum effort.
