I am inclined to keep the multiarch in unstable even with breakages in the other packages. The milk has been spilled and we need to clean up the mess anyway. And we still have working version in testing which is not going away, so people can just used that and pin the cyrus-sasl2 version to a working one. My experience also tells me that if we just revert the multiarch cyrus-sasl2 it will never get fixed in the depending packages. So my call (now) is to keep this bug open and fix the plugin paths in depending packages.
