As removing .la files is one of the release goals [1] the .la file was removed from libcurl*-dev, but it is still listed as dependency in the .la file shipped with libflickcurl-dev. So builds using libtool will fail as they are looking for libcurl's .la file. So please either remove the .la file if possible, or drop the dependency line at least.
