Package: apt
Version: 0.8.15.2
Severity: serious

Hi,

When upgrading apt from 0.8.15.1 to 0.8.15.2 on sparc, apt no
longer works, downgrading to 0.8.15.1 fixes the problem.

For example:
# apt-get update
Hit http://ftp.carnet.hr sid InRelease
Get:1 http://incoming.debian.org sid InRelease [146 kB]
Get:2 http://ftp.carnet.hr sid/main Sources/DiffIndex [2038 B]
E: Method http has died unexpectedly!
E: Sub-process http received signal 10.

The fun part is that running it under strace doesn't show that
error.

It did dump a core file, but it wasn't very useful:
Core was generated by `/usr/lib/apt/methods/http'.
Program terminated with signal 10, Bus error.

Backtrace stopped: previous frame identical to this frame (corrupt stack?)
