Hi, Thanks for your patch, it indeed fix the FTBFS but I'm not sure it's correct as it add a rpath to the library that is equal to '/lib' (which is forbidden by the policy).
I think that removing completely the -R option and let libtool handle the rpath when required is a better approach. I think that this -R option is onlu required on other platform than gnu/linux.
