Source: cvs Version: 2:1.12.13+real-4 Severity: serious Tags: sid help I intended to ship a NEWS.Debian file with my package takeover, but realised after the dput I forgot to do so. The file should be in there to document some of the intrusive changes resulting from the takeover, to reduce the unexpectedness of the changes.
http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/developers-reference/best-pkging-practices.html#bpp-news-debian RC severity to prevent cvs from migrating to testing before this gets fixed (I plan an upload within not too large a timeframe, after some more bug triaging, probably). Suggestions from actual CVS users who tested the package in unstable for what to list in NEWS.Debian (possibly including wording) is _very_ welcome! (I’m not familiar with all the things that went into Debian’s former cvs packaging, only that some things were good – they’re still there unless they broke something – and some were broken, questionable or simply don’t fit with how CVS should be used in this millennium ;-) That’s why the “help” tag is there. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-6-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/mksh -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
