I had a look to the source package. xmlstream/tostring/tostring26.py seems to be the only file that is different between the version for Python 2.6 and Python 3. Something is going wrong: I can see the code in setup.py that refers to tostring26.py or tostring.py depending on the Python version. But somehow, it always detects Python 2.6.
