Yes, this is an sbuild bug which needs fixing before schroot 1.5 can
enter unstable (and that's not planned for the forseeable future;
I'll continue to maintain 1.4.x releases until the most of the
development work on 1.5.x is done).  That's the plan at least; it
might change depending upon how stable any new features are.  schroot
development doesn't often cause breakage, so we could put it in
earlier.

This is because schroot 1.5.x removes the compatibility aliases for
non-namespace-aware programs.  sbuild does have some code to deal
with namespaces, but this is mainly just to strip off the namespaces
and not deal with them.  sbuild needs updating to use namespaces for
alls its interaction with schroot.  The same applies to build, which
does some direct schroot invocation, though this may have been
disabled.
