For now I won't bother uploading a patched xfpm. Xfce is currently beeing uploaded to experimental, we have 3 packages still in NEW and some which waits for a new upstream release for licensing issues (I'll make a blog post explaining that to give a little more visibility on this) but besides that, we're mostly ready to upload to sid. In the meantime, remember that unstable is supposed to be unstable, especially after a release, so it might make sense to stay on testing for now. If packages don't get out of NEW fast enough, I'll reconsider that decision though.
