By making experimental disappear, they leave the bug on everybody's systems. OK, by the way is there any way to detect other such cases? file:///usr/share/doc/aptitude/html/en/ch02s04s05.html says |?obsolete |~o |Match installed packages that cannot be downloaded. | # apt-cache policy dash dash: Installed: 0.5.6.1-1~exp0 Candidate: 0.5.6.1-1~exp0 Version table: *** 0.5.6.1-1~exp0 0 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 0.5.5.1-7.4 0 500 http://ftp.tw.debian.org/debian/ unstable/main i386 Packages But # aptitude search ~o # aptitude seach ~o~i don't show it, because some version is still downloadable, but not the current version, Wait, the only cure is to run $ apt-show-versions |grep 'newer than version in archive' dash 0.5.6.1-1~exp0 newer than version in archive every night to detect such things. No help from aptitude full-upgrade which could conceivably warn of such situations. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
