Hi, First of all, happy new year! :) Then thanks for sending this bug report. Finally, I will work on libdbi right after Squeeze is released. Currently, it's not the right moment to touch anything on it. I know it it isn't in a very good state, and I'm sorry for that. The thing is, I didn't have much time between the opening of my account (31st of June) and the Debian freeze (end of July), which lead to have only few of my packages updated. I can assure you that it wont be like that for Wheezy, and also that I will work on a backport. I hope this answer is satisfying enough. If you think that something must be done for Squeeze, then please let us know through the bug tracker.
