I can confirm to get a similar message.

downgrading the severity of this bug report, as
A) submitters linux-2.6 is self compiled
B) nowadays one can and should use /sys/class/rtc/rtc0/wakealarm
C) the rare users of this antique package may still have fun to do so for
   Squeeze.
