Please right-click on the panel and add to the panel the notification area. This is where these icons would appear. It seems like you accidently removed it. Unless you can reproduce it to get missing repeatedly it rather seems to be a one-time hickup, and (re)adding the notification area should get you back on tracks again. So if you are not able to reproduce it again, feel free to close this bugreport by sending a mail to 606323-d...@bugs.debian.org stating so. Enjoy!
