Package: caret Version: 5.6.1.3~dfsg.1-1 Severity: grave Tags: upstream Justification: renders package unusable
When reading surface data files, Caret (when linked against recent Qt version, e.g. 4.6) fails to load the data properly. Consequently, it becomes impossible to use any functionality without producing corrupted results. An example of rendering of a corrupted brain surface can be seen here http://brainvis.wustl.edu/wiki/index.php/File:LinuxImageCorrupt.jpg Upstream is currently testing a fix. The Debian maintainer will try to backport this fix to the current version in squeeze, if possible. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages caret depends on: ii libc6 2.11.2-7 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libgcc1 1:4.4.5-4 GCC support library ii libgl1-mesa-glx [li 7.7.1-4 A free implementation of the OpenG ii libglu1-mesa [libgl 7.7.1-4 The OpenGL utility library (GLU) ii libgomp1 4.4.5-4 GCC OpenMP (GOMP) support library ii libminc2-1 2.0.18+cvs20100518-1 MNI medical image format library ii libqt4-assistant 4:4.6.3-4 Qt 4 assistant module ii libqt4-network 4:4.6.3-4 Qt 4 network module ii libqt4-opengl 4:4.6.3-4 Qt 4 OpenGL module ii libqt4-xml 4:4.6.3-4 Qt 4 XML module ii libqtcore4 4:4.6.3-4 Qt 4 core module ii libqtgui4 4:4.6.3-4 Qt 4 GUI module ii libqwt5-qt4 5.2.0-1 Qt4 widgets library for technical ii libstdc++6 4.4.5-4 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libvtk5.4 5.4.2-7+b2 Visualization Toolkit - A high lev ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3 compression library - runtime caret recommends no packages.
