Package: mldonkey-server Version: 3.0.3-2 Severity: serious mldonkey renames downloads.ini to downloads.dpkg on upgrade and installs a new downloads.ini without migrating the settings. As a result, mldonkey starts up with different settings after an upgrade.
I think this is a policy violation, even though the configuration file is not in /etc (which is in and of itself also a policy violation). The configuration file might not be designed to be user-editable, but a change to a global setting made via the GUI should not be overwritten on an upgrade either. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.36-rc6-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- .''`. martin f. krafft <madd...@d.o> Related projects: : :' : proud Debian developer http://debiansystem.info `. `'` http://people.debian.org/~madduck http://vcs-pkg.org `- Debian - when you have better things to do than fixing systems
