Ah, OK, thanks for the tip.

I guess you are happy to proceed with this report rather than switching
backto #592587 at this point?

Is there any debug I can add to gstbe.py? I'm not in front of the
machine right now (so I can't easily run up quodlibet to test anything)
but when I get a chance I'll try sprinkling some prints around
__init_pipeline and do_set_property relating to the various volume
fields.
