Given that the package maintainers have stated 2 months ago that they do not understand the problem and the reporter have failed to provide more information to explain it better, perhaps it is best to reduce the severity or close the bug as wontfix?
I suspect the issue at hand is in the cross-section of copyright and trademark law, and based on some misunderstanding on what is allowed or not under copyright law, but must admit I do not understand what problem this bug is reporting either.
