Hi Christian and Kir Now I have verfied that the new vzctl version works well on squeeze. Including virtual hosts running squeeze. I have changed the documentation slightly to reflect this.
I will wait a day or two, but then I will upload a new updated package with the improved documentation. However I have still not tested the new kernel. So I do not know if the reboot functionality itself works. The poweroff and reboot commands cause the ve to stop at least. This on a kernel that do not support the new vzeventd.
