Package: jesred
Version: 1.2pl1-16
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
I installed default versions of squid and jesred using aptitude.
With default configuration (except for using squid in transparent mode),
redirect.log reports:
Request: http://google.com 192.168.0.2/- - GET - myip=****** myport=3128
method not "GET"
I believe jesred is not parsing the information provided by squid correctly.
It is thus not redirecting and requests.
Thanks,
Jack

the code in question has been removed in june 2008, in version
1.2pl1-14 (see bug #487978). i have no idea where you unearthed this
very broken package claiming to be -16, but what you have is most
definitely not the version of jesred as shipped in lenny.
i've just pulled the amd64 arch package of jesred from ftp.us.debian.org,
the binary /usr/lib/squid/jesred should have md5sum
b76d6243c03d0ee91acbf42e25afbb07 and doesn't contain the
old, broken code you're complaining about.
i'm closing this bug.
regards
az
