If the bug is *not* fixed (nor by the backported patch in 3.7.0-1.1 nor by the new upstream bugfix release 3.7.0.1-1), could the upstream bug be reopened and the status updated in the BTS (it's marked as fixed in 3.7.0-1.1 right now).
