Thanks for the information. Just for the record, I also noticed that there is an
up-to-date mirror of all things emacs on github, which is quite convenient for
those that prefer a distributed VCS instead of a centralized one (like CVS).

Zak, any word on this? I would be willing to (at least) package some of the ECB
stuff, but as my Emacs-fu is very low (I am only a modest user), I'd welcome any
assistance with this (and, also, BTW, with AUCTeX).
