Package: telepathy-gabble Version: 0.9.12-1 Severity: grave Tags: squeeze Justification: renders package unusable
I don't remember when this problem started, but telepathy-gabble silently disconnects every so often, and it is quite often. Randomly disconnecting is serious enough, but the fact that it does so silently, without any notice, just makes it impossible to use. I have to constantly check that I'm still connected, and I have to constantly kill telepathy-gabble and restart it to keep my conversations going. Not fun at all. I'm only using telepathy-gabble to connect to the GTalk network, I don't know if it fails with other networks. I have no idea how to extract debugging information for this package. I'll gladly do so if I'm pointed in the right direction --- I really do want to keep using empathy! -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages telepathy-gabble depends on: ii libc6 2.11.2-2 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libdbus-1-3 1.2.24-1 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.86-1 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libglib2.0-0 2.24.1-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnutls26 2.8.6-1 the GNU TLS library - runtime libr ii libsoup2.4-1 2.30.1-1 an HTTP library implementation in ii libsqlite3-0 3.6.23.1-4 SQLite 3 shared library ii libtelepathy-glib0 0.11.6-1 Telepathy framework - GLib library ii libuuid1 2.17.2-3.1 Universally Unique ID library ii libxml2 2.7.7.dfsg-4 GNOME XML library telepathy-gabble recommends no packages. telepathy-gabble suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
