Apparently urlgrabber 3.9.1 broke yum badly, I'm not sure which package is at fault here. See http://bugs.debian.org/587575#5 for traceback.

Do you think that upgrading to the latest version of yum (which, the last time I saw, is 3.2.26) would fix the issue? Is Fedora 13 running python 2.6? And what version of yum?

No idea here, sorry.
