Source: boson
Version: 0.13-6
Severity: serious
Justification: FTBFS on mips{,el}

Hello,

boson fails to build from source on mips[0] and mipsel[1] with the following error:

| /usr/bin/ld: non-dynamic relocations refer to dynamic symbol
std::cerr@@GLIBCXX_3.4
| /usr/bin/ld: failed to set dynamic section sizes: Bad value
| collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

I believe that this is caused by bug #519006 in gcc-4.4. While apparently there's no fault of boson here, the build failure has to be fixed before squeeze release one way or another.

Possible ways to fix this bug:
1. Actually fix #519006 (non-trivial).
2. Compile boson on mips* without -g (untested, but should work according to Aurelien Jarno[2]).
3. Compile boson on mips* with gcc-4.3 (untested).
4. Request removal of mips* binaries from unstable[3].
