Hi Juan (and others following this), First of all, thanks for filing this bugreport!Even if it may hang unresolved for some time, it is still highly appreciated that you've reported this. We simply might not have the qualified man power to solve the issue quickly (I for one am not properly qualified to debug this issue).

It is a common mistake to use inflated severity. For the future please note that the severities do not relate to your system, but to the life of the package in general. ghostscript-cups works for me, so it is not unusable for all users, thus I have downgraded the severity.

Thanks for the detailed report.As noted above, I am unable to deal with it (my expertise is in scripting the packaging routines, not in hacking the actual CUPS code). So I will leave it for others to try solve it.
