It happened several times and once caused the system to lock - I couldn't access a console or ssh into the box. I tried running /usr/bin/gftp-gtk --strace It connected, browsed the remote file system and clicking on the icon didn't cause it to crash. I repeated it and again it didn't crash. It may have been temporary glitch. I'll monitor and close the bug if it doesn't recur in the next few days.
