dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of googleearth:
 googleearth depends on ia32-libs (<< 15) | ia32-libgl1-mesa-glx; however:
  Version of ia32-libs on system is 20090808.
  Package ia32-libgl1-mesa-glx is not installed.

My googleearth package depends on a different version of ia32-libs than your package, and is installable in squeeze/sid:

johan-laptop:/home/johan# apt-cache show googleearth
Package: googleearth
Status: install ok installed
Priority: optional
Section: non-free/science
Maintainer: <jo...@johan-laptop>
Architecture: amd64
Version: 5.1.3533.1731+0.5.7-1
Depends: ttf-dejavu | ttf-bitstream-vera | msttcorefonts, ia32-libs (>= 20080808), ia32-libs-gtk (>= 2.2), lib32gcc1 (>= 1:4.1.1), lib32stdc++6 (>= 4.1.1), lib32stdc++6 (>= 4.2.1), lib32z1 (>= 1:1.1.4), libc6-i386 (>= 2.1.3), libc6-i386 (>= 2.2), libc6-i386 (>= 2.3), libc6-i386 (>= 2.3.2), libc6-i386 (>= 2.4), lib32nss-mdns
Description: Google Earth, a 3D map/planet viewer
Package built with googleearth-package.

The followup question for solving your problem is of course to find out why our packages depend on different versions, but I have no suggestions as to how that is best done.

Johan
