The problem is related to the upgrade from 0.7. The new version does not allways recognise the selected theme from the previous version. As a result, some new colors don't get assigned.
To make the problem go away, open the preferences dialog (Edit->Preferences) and make sure something is selected in the Theme: dropdown box. Cya, Hylke
