I chose dbndns because I guessed that it was the more modern way forward, since dbndns has been patched to support IPV6, and I did not see that for djbdns, although I might have just missed that. IIRC, Debian used to have a deb for installing djbdns from source, and I guessed that that was being carried forward as the djbdns deb. I used apt-cache show <pkg name> to read about both debs, but was not able to learn which one to use, and for why. It would really help me if these commands informed us which to use and why. I would happily use either dbndns or djbdns. Which should I use and why? And yes, that info in /usr/share/doc/dbndns/README.Debianwould have helped me. But that entry in /etc/sv has me confused. What would be really useful would be told to use djb's tutorials with the following changes, whatever they are. Thanks again for your prompt response. John Wenger
