Well, a reason is that we generally support only one release at a time, and that in the next such release we will only have emacs23. Anyhow, I let you judge this since you worked on the package recently. As a minor glitch, I've been trying to remove the NMU [1], but unfortunately I don't have any more the .changes around, and I've failed to remove it (damn dcut wildcard patterns which never match!). Of the two one, either I'll be able to block the NMU or, I'll clean up my own mess with both another upload restoring the previous situation and closing this bug report. BTW, while we are at it, I duly notice that nowadays on-the-fly crypt/decrypt support is supported out of the box in emacs23, do we still need at all this package? Cheers.
