I can't reproduce this: z...@usha:/tmp$ cat test.xml <test test="test" /> z...@usha:/tmp$ xmldiff test.xml test.xml z...@usha:/tmp$ echo $? 0 (As your bug log does not contain architecture information, I can't say if this is arch-specific or not, even though I doubt it. I'm on amd64, FWIW.) Can you please attach the test.xml file with which you can reproduce this bug? Maybe it is not XML-well-formed due to some byte encoding issues?
