At the moment unixodbc-dev is uninstallable in unstable, and this make it impossible to compile mapserver in unstable. mapserver build-depend on unixodbc-dev, and it is uninstallable because it depends on libodbcinstq1, which in turn depend on libqt3c102-mt. And libqt3c102-mt do not exist in unstable. I didn't quite understand how a new upload of unixodbc would affect the PHP and KDE transition, but thought it best to document that there are other packages using libodbcinstq1 than unixodbc-bin. The gdal problem affects mapserver, thuban and qgis, and probably other packages, all of which need to move to the new C++ ABI.
