Hi,
when I type in python 'import vtk', I get:
File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.5/vtk/io.py", line 7, in <module>
from libvtkIOPython import *
ImportError: /usr/lib/libvtkIO.so.5.4: symbol av_init_packet, version
LIBAVFORMAT_52 not defined in file libavformat.so.52 with link time reference
breaking vtk in python.
Also 'ldd -r /usr/lib/libvtkIO.so.5.4' produces the error message:
symbol av_init_packet, version LIBAVFORMAT_52 not defined in file
libavformat.so.52 with link time reference (/usr/lib/libvtkIO.so.5.4)
I also have the same problem on a amd64 computer.
