Sorry, I forgot to send news to the bug... Since I upgraded to gnome from unstable about one month ago the bug was fixed, but I do not know if this happened because of the upgrade or something else I did.
(OTOH, now I get a message like "there is already a panel active" after every login, and do not understand why. gnome-session-properties is not helping.) -- ciao, Marco
