I can't seem to reproduce this; xdm works fine. :-/ It is interesting, however, that /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xdm/Xsetup is missing in a fresh standard install. Because you still have a copy: > Sun Jun 19 14:32:31 2005 xdm info (pid 9301): sourcing /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xdm/Xsetup
Could you send a copy of that file to the bug trail?
