Reloading system message bus config...done. Starting Hardware abstraction layer: haldinvoke-rc.d: initscript hal, action "start" failed. dpkg: error processing hal (--configure): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 Errors were encountered while processing: hal > #killall hald > and then re-runing aptitude allows the upgrade to complete. no, there is no hald running at all: $ ps ax | grep hal 3711 tty1 R+ 0:00 grep hal This is my machine: $ uname -a Linux blackbox 2.6.30-2-amd64 #1 SMP Mon Dec 7 05:21:45 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux Any help? Would you need any more data to analyse this situation? Cheers, Laurens -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
