Could you please upload the file in question or the whole build tree
after a failed build somewhere? I can't figure out what's the
problem, and the official buildds seem to handle it:
https://buildd.debian.org/fetch.cgi?pkg=ltp&arch=amd64&ver=20091031%2Bdfsg-2&stamp=1261520305&file=log&as=raw
Have you tried building it before saying it's unreproducible?
Well, since I have no amd64 machine, no.
Could you please provide a diff of your log with mine, to exclude a
problem with build-dependencies?
Well, I think you could make one yourself (it's not "my log", it's the
official buildd log). I'm looking at it in xxdiff and (apart from loads of
different directory names etc.) it seems your log has libpcre3 installed
(not sure how this could hurt), and the official buildd has this:
In file "/tmp/fetch.log":
------------------------------
42: The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer
required:
43: libkrb5-3 libk5crypto3 ttf-dejavu-extra libdes425-3 ttf-dejavu-core
g++-4.3
44: libfreetype6 libexpat1 libkrb53 fontconfig libkrb5support0
fontconfig-config
45: libkeyutils1 ucf libstdc++6-4.3-dev ttf-dejavu libfontconfig1
46: libgssapi-krb5-2 perl-doc
47: Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
However, from your log, it seems you were doing a parallel build. Tell me
if this is the case, and if yes, tell me parallel=how_much did you use. (I
did test with parallel=3 and never came across this).
It could be the case that parallel build is broken.
