I'm having the same problem on Intel Xeon 32bit
Here's what I have done so far:
Tested Kernels (with newer Kernel's c2faxsend even produces an Kernel oops)
2.4.31 -> segmentation fault
2.6.8-2-686 -> segmentation fault
2.6.12.3-SMP -> Kernel Oops (Preemption enabled)
2.6.12.4-SMP -> Kernel Ooops (Preemption disabled)
2.6.13-rc6 -> Kernel ooops (Preemption disabled,No SMP)
I've also tried to recompile libcapi20 (capi20) using Linux-Libc-Headers
(2.6.12.0) from http://ep09.pld-linux.org/~mmazur/linux-libc-headers/
And I've tried versions (binary) from SuSE 9.3 of capi4hylafax/libcapi all with
the same problem
So it seems that the problem does not directly lie in capi4hylafax (maybe)
