Yes. I tried all the obvious things. The man/info page for fdrawcmd wasn't very clear on exactly what was accepted, so I tried several options. All with the same result. And now Mark has just the same under 2.6.28 vanilla.

I guess all these are further clues...

Any point in running under strace? Or gdb (not sure whether I have a debug version around...)?
