This bug is now indeed fixed after I installed the current version of the grub-ieee1275 package and ran grub-install /dev/hda. Grub shows me a menu, but independently which of the entries I choose, I get always the error message "Memory Address not Alligned" and back to the OpenBoot prompt "ok". Any ideas here? This didn't help: * update-grub * update-initramfs -u -k all * Removing one of the two slashes at path beginning * Removing the backslashes from set root=... * Replacing "linux" with "linux32" or other variants with numbers. The installed and tried kernels (2.6.31, 2.6.30, both from sid/squeeze, and 2.6.26 from lenny) did work fine before with silo.
