Package: grub-ieee1275
Version: 1.97~beta3-1, 1.97~beta4-1
Severity: grave
I replaced silo o my Ultra Sparc 10 with grub-ieee1275 and couldn't
boot anymore from disk afterwards, because grub aborts with the
following message (transcribed manually from the screen) on the
console:
---snip---
Welcome to GRUB!
the symbol '__bswapsi2' not found
Aborted. Press any key to exit.
---snap---
I initially installed 1.97~beta3-1, but even an upgrade to
1.97~beta4-1 using a rescue CD didn't help.
The machine has the following IO ports:
13W3 with Sun monitor
VGA with VGA monitor
at least 2x serial console
grub and the message above always appears on the 13W3 connected
screen.
