Well, my point was, that it also fails to install on linux, because procps is not guaranteed to be installed (as e.g. is in my pbuilder chroot), so the /etc/sysctl.d directory is not present. That the sysctl snippet has no effect on non-linux is another issue and should probably be handled in a separate bug report.
