/usr/share/doc/calendarserver/README.Debian http://localhost:8008/calendars/users/<user>/calendar/ should state, that you should get the "Calendar homes:" URL and add something like my-calendar.ics at the end. After playing a bit more around with Apple iCAL I found out that a user could have multiple calendars on the server. So you have to specify a file and not just the directory.
