I followed what was said in the Debian's Webapps Policy Manual [1]
where it says:

| User uploaded content
|         A unique subdirectory of /usr/lib/PACKAGE

But you are _absolutely_ right about this violating the FHS.

It is normal that these files are not deleted as they are created &
updated by the binary itself (not the .deb package). Nevertheless, the
fact that they are kept in /usr/lib/, after a purge, is not right.

I will be uploading a new release correcting this very soon.
