Package: pidgin-encryption Version: 3.0-4 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
For quite a while, encryption has been non-functional. It fails at the key exchange state. No messages are sent until encryption is dissabled. There is an upstream bug report stating that it died as of pidgin 2.6. http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2848967&group_id=57740&atid=485253 -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-rc7-00992-ga9366e6-dirty (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) (ignored: LC_ALL set to C) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages pidgin-encryption depends on: ii libc6 2.10.1-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libnspr4-0d 4.8.2-1 NetScape Portable Runtime Library ii libnss3-1d 3.12.4-1 Network Security Service libraries hi pidgin 2.6.3-1 graphical multi-protocol instant m pidgin-encryption recommends no packages. pidgin-encryption suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
