I /suspect/ this is a bug with cgroups itself. I think a good next step would be to verify that this still happens when you create a cgroup manually without using libcgroup. If you're able to test this case, it would be a huge help. Are you seeing any log messages in dmesg and/or syslog when the hang occurs? Does it hang when you simply have the libcgroup service running with no additional config, or does it happen only when you create cgroups and assign tasks to them? Suspend/Hibernate is broken on my machine, so I cannot test this right now, but I should be able to find a machine to test on soon.
