I've found that udev erases my live images burned on CD-RW media, making them unbootable. When I investigated further, I've found that, after unpacking udev 147 to a temporary directory, running indeed erases the disc in the drive. (see the attachment for a strace of this execution) This has been verified on two kernels (customized 2.6.27 and distribution 2.6.30) and two drives. I'm not sure where is the problem, though. It might be a problem in the kernel as well.
