I don't know what the policy would be with regards to pull a more recent version of the source, but I believe it would be a good thing. We are still not ready to do a 0.1 release, but getting much closer to it. Maybe having an alpha version packaged would allow us to realise what difficulties lie in shipping a robus package under Debian.
