Why? Peter Rajnoha from the Redhat LVM/DM Team sent a mail to grub-devel to ask us about our opinion to this: http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/grub-devel/2009-09/msg00176.html# All 3 mails linked at the bottom of the page is all which was talked about grub-devel related to this topic.
